In this weeks blog I'm going to give you some great tips on the easiest and best way to clean your exterior stone.
Around this time of year when its damp and dull quite a lot of the time it is easy for algae, moss and dirt begin to grow and accumulate around the exterior of your house. This can quickly start to become unsightly and in a lot of cases dangerously slippy.
Not to worry, we have the product for you! As with most household jobs using 4Earth Cleaning Supplies, it is a really quick and simple to tackle this problem.
The image below shows a recent job I did in a back yard. The green on the concrete had started to manifest its self over a number of weeks and was becoming an issue.
As you can see all of the green areas have been removed in the image on the right. It only took around 30 minutes to complete this job.
Now if you want your exterior stone looking as good as this, simply follow these cleaning tips.
First of all, you will need a strong bristle brush, a bucket, a 5 litre of 4Earth Safe Clean Plus (Concentrate) and some water to rinse away the excess dirt. This will do an area of approx 40 meters squared (depending on how heavily soiled the area is)
Take a bucket and pour half of the bottle of 4Earth Safe Clean Plus into it then add about the same amount of water.
Pour contents of the bucket over the area to be cleaned making sure all of the area is covered in cleaning product.
Take the brush and work the cleaning product into the surface, then leave it for 5 - 10 minutes before giving it another brush over.
Once the product has been worked in thoroughly, you can rinse away the dirt with a hose or bucket of water.
Use the rest of the 4Earth Safe Clean Plus to repeat the process (step 1-3) again making sure to rinse away the product as outlined in step 4
When you have completed these steps and the surface has been thoroughly rinsed you should now leave it to dry and wait to see the incredible results.
As I've said this only took me around 30 minutes to complete and it couldn't have been easier.
Above is another example of an area we did outside of a multi occupation residential building using the same process. This particular area was heavily soiled as it was almost always shaded and under an overhanging tree. So the product works even in the most extreme circumstances.
